Miami Bayfront and Brickell Key 7.3 km Run From the InterContinental Spa
Updated October 12, 2026
Brickell Key is a small island of towers joined to Brickell by one bridge, and this loop of about 7.3 km circles part of it after a stretch along Biscayne Bay through Bayfront Park. It starts at the InterContinental Miami, whose mySpa sells a day pass with locker rooms, a sauna and steam room.
From the lawns of Bayfront Park to the Miami Riverwalk and the Brickell Baywalk, public paths line the downtown waterfront, so a short run can stay near the water most of the way. The InterContinental Miami stands on Chopin Plaza at the south end of Bayfront Park, and its mySpa sells a day pass to visitors. As of October 2026, the pass is $75 plus a service charge, and it covers the fitness center, sauna, steam room, pool and changing areas with day lockers. The spa opens in the late morning, so book ahead, leave your bag in a locker, run, and come back to shower. The paths are mostly in the sun, so carry water.

The run: Bayfront Park, the Riverwalk and Brickell Key

Most of the line runs beside the bay or the river, with views of the cruise ships, the Brickell towers and the Rickenbacker Causeway. The Brickell Key path is quiet and flat, while Bayfront Park can be busy during events, so check the park's calendar before you go.

The line climbs to Southeast 2nd Avenue and crosses the river on the Brickell Avenue Bridge, then drops down to the Brickell Baywalk and follows it to the Brickell Key Drive bridge. On the island, the line runs around the southern tip on the waterfront path, with a short out and back up the east side, then returns over the bridge.
