Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail Run to Reynoldstown With a Forum Day Pass
Updated October 3, 2026
This out-and-back of about 7.4 km follows the BeltLine's Eastside Trail south from Ponce City Market, past Historic Fourth Ward Park and Krog Street Market, onto the Southeast Trail in Reynoldstown. It turns just short of Kirkwood Avenue and retraces the same paved trail home.
The Eastside Trail is a paved path on an old rail corridor, and past Krog Street it becomes the Southeast Trail, where beltline.org points to the many murals along Wylie Street. This route follows both trails to Reynoldstown and turns back the same way. Starting from the Forum Athletic Club inside Ponce City Market puts you on the trail after a short walk. The Forum is a family owned club founded by two former NFL players. Day-pass holders get the locker room, but members say lockers fill up at busy times and a full carry-on may not fit. Ask at the desk where your bag can go while you run. A single day pass may be good for one entry only, so check that you can get back in afterward. As of October 2026, Bounce lists Atlanta storage for bigger bags from $4.95 a day.

The run: BeltLine Eastside Trail south to Reynoldstown

The whole run stays on the trail itself. You cross Irwin and Wylie, two quiet streets, on raised crossings, and DeKalb Avenue at a signal, once each way. The way out climbs gently on the old railroad grade, so the run home is a long, easy downhill. Saturdays get packed before lunch, so set out soon after sunrise.

- 7.4 km (4.6 mi)
- Start
- The Forum Athletic Club, Ponce City Market
Take the market's wooden BeltLine walkway and the short stairs down to the Eastside Trail. Run south on trail bridges over North Avenue and Ralph McGill Boulevard, with Historic Fourth Ward Park on your right. The trail ducks under Freedom Parkway and Highland Avenue, crosses Irwin Street at Krog Street Market on a raised crosswalk and passes under Edgewood Avenue. Cross DeKalb Avenue at the lights by Krog Street, then take the trail tunnel under the railroad, where the path becomes the Southeast Trail beside Wylie Street. Cross Wylie Street on the raised crossing and follow the trail south until it nears Kirkwood Avenue. Turn around there, before the street, and retrace the same trail north to the market.
