New York Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges Run, Brooklyn Uprising Day Pass

Updated October 8, 2026

Cross the Brooklyn Bridge from DUMBO, run through Tribeca to the Hudson, head back east through Chinatown and over the Manhattan Bridge with views of the first span, then take a sauna and shower at Brooklyn Uprising.

Few cities let you run across two landmark suspension bridges in one loop. This one climbs the Brooklyn Bridge's wooden promenade between its Gothic stone towers and crosses Lower Manhattan from the East River to the Hudson. It then cuts back through Chinatown and returns over the Manhattan Bridge, with the older span beside you. Bikes have had their own lane on the Brooklyn Bridge roadway since 2021, but the promenade still fills by late morning, so go early. BK UP, short for Brooklyn Uprising, is a DUMBO climbing gym with a weight room and a cedar sauna. It sells an all-day pass with a locker included; tell staff you're heading out for a run and coming back. As of October 2026, Bounce keeps bigger luggage in DUMBO from $2.90 a day.

The run: Brooklyn Bridge, Tribeca and Manhattan Bridge loop

Route map of an 8.9 km loop from Brooklyn Uprising in DUMBO over the Brooklyn Bridge to the Hudson River in Tribeca, then back through Chinatown and over the Manhattan Bridge

Two landmark bridges, skyline views from both walkways and a crossing of Lower Manhattan from the East River to the Hudson pack a lot of New York into one outing.

Distance
8.9 km (5.5 mi)
Start
Brooklyn Uprising

Leave the gym, head west to Washington Street and follow it south to the Brooklyn Bridge stairs, then climb to the promenade and cross toward Manhattan in the pedestrian lane. Come off by City Hall Park and run west through Tribeca on Warren Street and Chambers Street to the Hudson River. Turn at the waterfront where Tribeca meets Battery Park City, close to Pier 25, after a short lap of the riverside path. Come back east on Harrison Street, pick up Worth Street past Foley Square and Columbus Park into Chinatown, and climb onto the Manhattan Bridge walkway off the Bowery. Its south side path faces the Brooklyn Bridge and lands at Jay Street, where you run north under the bridge approach back into DUMBO and the gym.
